Exclusive: ServiceNow Lays Off Hundreds of Employees in Restructuring Effort

By Sasha Semjonova

ServiceNow is laying off hundreds of employees as part of a restructuring effort, NowBen has learned.

According to a source familiar with the matter, these layoffs are in the triple figures, although it has not been confirmed which specific teams have been affected. Rumors had been circulating on LinkedIn and Reddit, with a number of people claiming to be laid-off staff.

‘Managing Headcount With Discipline’

ServiceNow has told NowBen that the company is restructuring to “grow sustainably and win.”

“Like any company of our size, ServiceNow continuously evaluates our organization to ensure we have the right talent in the right roles,” they told NowBen.

“We’re actively investing in and hiring for the AI-focused skills this era demands, while managing headcount with discipline to end the year where we started.”

This is ServiceNow’s first layoff effort after CEO Bill McDermott pledged “no job cuts” in 2023 while many other tech firms were cutting staff.

Earlier this year, McDermott reportedly said ServiceNow will avoid backfilling some roles lost through natural attrition, using AI productivity gains to keep headcount broadly flat into 2027.

NowBen will continue to monitor and provide updates about this developing situation.
