ServiceNow Suite Certification Pathways Infographic 2026

By Ali Saghaeian

Going through ServiceNow certifications and the numerous available options can feel overwhelming. There is so much to consider, and it can be difficult to find a concise “big picture” overview. For this reason, I’ve put together this infographic to show how the different pieces come together and what a good starting point is.

There are so many pathways across key applications, topics, and industries, but I simplified them by grouping and organizing them. You can see different color codes for certification types and their connecting arrows to make it easier for you to follow and find your way. You can also find NowBen’s ServiceNow certification pathways infographic, which focuses on mainline and expert certifications.

ServiceNow offers a wide range of credentials, from micro-certifications and delivery accreditations to high-stakes (mainline) and suite certifications. You can also take bootcamp accreditations and go all the way to expert certifications.

While you need to study, practice, and take an exam for most of these credentials, suite certifications are automatically awarded if you follow a particular path. They’re mostly a combination of high-stakes with micro-certifications and/or delivery accreditations.

There is no order for completing the prerequisites for a Suite Certification. You will receive one once all required certifications are achieved. These certifications are grouped into three main categories: Core Skills Credential, Pro Credential Suites, and Pro Plus Credential Suites. I’ll cover these in detail.

If you already hold your CSA, CSM, ITSM, HR, HAM, or Data Foundations certification, you’re on the right path to take the next step to achieve a suite certification. Even if you have none of the high stakes, there is a path for you.

If you’re early in your ServiceNow journey, there is a quick win with the Core Skills Credential pathway, where you are only required to achieve a few micro-certifications. And, with specific Pro Credential Suites, you can complete a Now Assist accreditation and achieve the Pro Plus Credential Suites.

Use this guide as a reference, based on your interests and the career progression you expect. Not everything here is for you, and there may be very few who are experts in all these topics. So, feel free to skip those sections that are not relevant to you (yet) and focus on those that keep you excited!

Golden Bundles

There are some micro-certificates that I would like to call golden bundles.

For example, the following bundle of micro-certifications leads to seven Pro Suite and three Pro Plus Suite certifications: Platform Analytics, Predictive Intelligence, and Virtual Agent.

And with the following bundle, you’re one step closer to four Pro Suite certifications: Flows, Integration Hub, and UI Builder.

You achieve them all, and you’re on the path to 14 out of 20 Suite certificates.

Suite Certification Pathways

Here is a detailed guide on each of the suite certification pathways, contained within dropdown sections – click on the relevant sections depending on where you’re getting started.

Application Developer Core Skills

This suite certification shows you’re good at building modern applications on the platform. By achieving the golden bundle of Flows, Integration Hub, and UI Builder alongside the Automated Test Framework (ATF), you demonstrate that you can create sleek, automated, and thoroughly tested user journeys. If you are in development, this is a great starting point to bundle your accomplishments into a single suite. It’s a major achievement that shows you can build custom portal experiences and handle integrations without getting lost in extensive custom coding.

  • With the Automated Test Framework (ATF) Micro-Certification, you can create, execute, and manage automated tests to verify ServiceNow instance functionality. This is an area that I’ve been following for years, and I enjoyed exploring the new content packs. If you take the ATF Essentials course, you’ll learn how to run tests and test suites, create and schedule them, and the tips and techniques to administer them. The certification shows your proficiency with ATF, which results in accelerated testing and decreased manual effort.
  • With the Flows Micro-Certification, you are prepared to build, troubleshoot, and manage automated flows and business logic using the Workflow Studio interface. This is one of the most important areas for developers, as it allows you to build, refine, and redesign workflows across the entire platform. • With the Integration Hub Micro-Certification, you can start building and managing integrations by connecting ServiceNow to external systems using Integration Hub spokes, actions, and data stream actions. If you enjoy integrations, this is the area you would enjoy exploring. The certification demonstrates your ability to automate cross-platform processes and manage advanced data transfers without extensive custom coding.
  • With the UI Builder Micro-Certification, you are ready to create and configure web-based workspaces and custom portal experiences using the UI Builder and Next Experience components. There is also a fundamentals course that guides you through creating and configuring a workspace using UI Builder. You’ll be able to create pages and page variants within an experience, and configure components within a page. The certification shows your proficiency in designing modern user interfaces, managing data resources, and handling events to deliver bespoke user journeys.

Final Thoughts

Whether you’ve recently started your ServiceNow journey or you’re an experienced pro, the suite certifications offer a massive opportunity to validate your expertise across the platform. If you already hold high-stakes certifications like your CSA, CSM, or ITSM, you are already on the right path to achieving multiple suites automatically just by adding a handful of strategic micro-certifications.

My recommendation is to focus on the “golden bundles”, specifically Platform Analytics, Predictive Intelligence, and Virtual Agent, or the trio of Flows, Integration Hub, and UI Builder. Learning them allows you to unlock the bigger portion of the 20 available suite certificates, giving you a competitive edge.

For those looking to reach the top tier, aim for the Pro Plus Credential Suites by completing the relevant Now Assist accreditations to present your skills in Generative AI. It is a quick win that proves you can keep up with the latest platform innovations as you build a good professional profile.

No matter which path you choose, the important thing is to keep your prerequisite certifications up to date with the annual delta exams so your hard-earned suite certifications remain current and valid.

As a final note, while certifications are a great way to showcase your domain knowledge and achievements, they don’t necessarily guarantee success in the real world. To truly be considered an expert and stay competitive in today’s market, you need a significant amount of practice and hands-on experience. I highly recommend aiming for a certification once you already have a solid foundation in that domain, because simply gaining the knowledge to pass an exam doesn’t guarantee you can apply those skills to solve actual business problems or deal with complex, real-life scenarios.

Wishing you all the best in your ServiceNow certification journey!
