ServiceNow Rethinks Partner Program for AI Era

By Christine Horton

ServiceNow has rolled out a series of updates to its global Partner Program aimed at helping partners build, scale, and monetize AI agents faster on the ServiceNow AI Platform.

The changes include a redesigned Build Program that opens the ServiceNow ecosystem to a wider range of partners. The expanded program will enable a broader set of independent software vendors (ISVs), developers, and technology partners to build, test, certify, and distribute solutions on the ServiceNow AI Platform. More than 1,000 existing partners are transitioning into the redesigned Build Program, it says.

The company says the move also strengthens the ServiceNow Store as a global marketplace for partner-built AI solutions, simplifying how partners access funding, incentives, and program benefits.

Together, ServiceNow hopes the updates will reduce friction for partners and accelerate customer adoption of AI at scale.

“ServiceNow is building a vibrant partner ecosystem for the AI-native future,” said Michael Park, SVP of global partnerships and channels at ServiceNow. “By simplifying how partners build on the ServiceNow AI Platform and expanding our commitment to partner co-innovation, we’re making it easier than ever for partners to create differentiated AI-powered solutions.”

The new version of the Build Program features Registered, Select, Premier, and Elite partner tiers with improved benefits and new opportunities to showcase partner AI agents in the ServiceNow Store, according to ServiceNow. A new Access Tier allows aspiring and entry-stage partners to begin building immediately without fully enrolling in the program.

Investments and Pricing Changes

ServiceNow said it is rolling out a unified investment strategy for 2026. This includes:

  • Market Development Funds (MDF): New funding opportunities with 100% reimbursement for eligible activities to help partners build demand and accelerate pipeline.
  • Strategic Investment Funds (SIF): Targeted funding to help partners unlock high-impact customer opportunities and accelerate outcomes.
  • Sell-through, deployment, and specialization incentives: Rewards that recognize partners for driving value with deep technical skills across the ServiceNow AI Platform.

The company is also introducing a streamlined single annual membership fee for all global partners – a change driven by direct partner feedback and intended to reduce complexity and allow partners to focus on innovation and growth.

What ServiceNow’s Build Partners Are Saying

Partners say the updates make it easier to build differentiated AI solutions, reach customers through the ServiceNow Store, and scale their impact.

“As ServiceNow expands what’s possible through its enhanced Build Program, we see great opportunity to help customers achieve meaningful success, fast,” said Paul Chorley, CEO of AutomatePro, as part of the ServiceNow announcement. “These programmatic changes underpin the importance of Build Program innovators and support our increased investment in solution development and marketing efforts.”

“ServiceNow’s reimagined Partner Program makes it easier for partners like SailPoint to build and deliver AI agents that are secure by design, deeply integrated into enterprise workflows, and ready to drive real business outcomes,” added Matt Mills, president at SailPoint.

Final Thoughts

Park said that ServiceNow is transforming how it operates internally to match the pace of partners and customers adopting AI. In an interview with NowBen, he explained that ServiceNow has simplified and modernized its internal structure to “run at AI speed” – aligning roles, responsibilities, and processes so the company can move faster with partners and deliver value more rapidly.

Coupled with ServiceNow’s internal transformation to be more agile and AI-driven, these latest program changes highlight the importance of partner expertise to delivering industry-specific solutions, speeding deployments, and driving measurable business outcomes.
